Inca Trail - day 2 (29 April 2006)

The second day was the hard day because we had to climb up to "Warmiwañusca pass" (or "Dead Womans pass") at 4,200 m. It was very slow and this was a very difficult day - just ask Lorena.

Here we (all the family) on the climb. From L to R: Lorena, John, Mary, Emma and Kate.

There were a lot of people on the Inka Trail. Thankfully it was not always like this.

Before the pass we stopped at 3,850 m to have a little meal and rest. What a beautiful outlook.

Later in the day we crossed a second pass (Runkuracay pass, 3850m). It was a tough day and satisfying to complete it sucessfully. Here are all the survivors of the grueling march.
