Christmas Day (25 December 2006)

John and I had to get up early on the 25th to prepare the nibbles and to go to Willunga. It was a little bit difficult to wake up due to the midnight Christmas mass.

We had a very nice day with John's family and a marathonic time going from house to house and eating and opening gifts in all of them. However we enjoyed the day and took some nice photos.

Here a collage we have prepared.

Christmas Eve (24 December 2006)

This was my first Christmas away from my family in Peru; actually it was my first Christmas outside Peru; so like you could all imagine it was difficult for me to have the Christmas spirit. However I said to myself that this is not the last Christmas of my life and I trust that the next ones will be with my peruvian family. It was a strange feeling to be so far from them but also to be so close to the man I love and to his family. It was wonderful to see how happy they were having John so close to them.

I have to recognise that the first days of December were hard for me but because I love Christmas so much and because I believe that being sad is not part of the season I decided to decorate my house and bring the Christmas spirit into my home.

After a lot of work this was the final decoration at our home.

At the last minute we decided to celebrate Christmas Eve with the family. This was a lot of work for me because John was working all the 24th. I worked very hard, starting early in the morning, to prepare dinner. Here some photos of our Christmas Eve table (Yummy Prawn Cocktails!).

Here is the chef (myself) with the yummy caneloni.

We had a nice evening with all the family; we opened crackers to have some fun and gave all our Christmas presents to the family. Here John and I with paper crowns from the crackers.

All the family from L to R: Mary, Alison, Nikki, Dylan, Elspeth, Kate, Bruce, Emma, Lorena, Simon, John and Diddi.

Kangaroo Island (17 - 20 Dec 2006)

We went to Kangaroo Island to have a nice and peaceful holiday. We had plenty of time to rest and enjoy the beauty of the island. We are posting here some special photos.

Remarkable Rocks... a classic.

Seal Bay.

Kellys Hill Caves.

Admirals Arch.

Cape Willoughby.

Sydney (2 - 4 Dec 2006)

Our first holiday since Peru was in Sydney. What an awesome place!!!

We really enjoyed this cosmopolitan city. We walked all around the city centre, China town is big and impressive, we saw Darling Harbour, the botanical gardens, we went on a cruise to Watsons Bay. Of course the Opera House is fantastic. Here we are.

Another of our favorites places is Harbour Bridge. Here 2 photos with John and I near the bridge.

I really liked so much Victoria Park. Here is John.

And finally myself infront of the town hall.

Christmas Parade (Nov - Dec 2006)

Every year Adelaide starts the Christmas season with a big parade. Lorena loves this sort of stuff so we decided to go and take a look. Here is a collage of our best shots.

John's B-day (11 Nov 2006)

We celebrated John's b-day at our new home making a BBQ with the family. Here some photos.
