City to Bay - FunRun (17 September 2006)

Every year the Council organize a "FunRun" just to have "fun". John and I decided to participate. John running 12 km and myself walking 12 km. It was amazing how many people were in the race: serious runners, amateur ones, professional walkers, people in wheelchairs, people just having fun using weird costumes, families with babies and probably all the healthy people of this city.
Here we are ready to begin.

John did well and arrived at the finished line in approximately 1 hour.

It took me longer to arrive but I did it! I think I did well walking in a temperature around 29C.

Mountain Bike Orienteering (16 September 2006)

John decided to enter a competition of Orienteering. First we had a difficult drive to Gumaracha, a little town in Adelaide Hills, because it was a windy and narrow road. I was so scared.
Finally we arrived at Mt Crawford forest where the competition was held. It was great to see Johnnie enjoying it and doing it very very well.
Here is John.

At the end of the competition we decided to take a picture of us. Here we are: our car, the bike, John and I.

Mount Gambier (11 to 15 September 2006)

Due to work obligations, I had to go to Mt. Gambier to work in a new project. I did not have time to do any tourism but at least I got this picture of the "Blue Lake". It is really blue, nice and the principal attraction of the town.

Are you wondering why I am not in the picture? Well I was all on my own and nobody was able to take a picture of me. Anyway it was nice to see the "Blue Lake".

Showtime (9 September 2006)

Like an australian tradition everybody goes to the "showtime" each year. So do we. Here we are with our the traditional style.

We had a good walk through the farm and country life pavillion. The animals were just amazing.

John decided to try with the bullets. It was fun!

And I decided to show my devil side!

The show is full with different kind of competitions. This was my favorite!

Finally we had a walk through the stalls and got some show-bags full of good food and sweeties!
